Please join us as we change our date and location of our meeting to welcome Mayor Greg Fischer and the community to hear his vision of working together to prevent and overcome violence. We welcome all who are interested in learning what you can do to have an impact and improve our greater community. Join us!

Sunday, September 10 – 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Iroquois Amphitheater, 1080 Amphitheater Rd, 40214 – Join the Louisville Democratic Party for the 2017 Unity Picnic. This year we’ll be at Iroquois Park. There will be food, drinks, live music and important information about what we’re doing to help make sure the elections in 2018 don’t turn out like 2016. Parking will be easiest at the amphitheater and we’ll be a short walk from there. Bring your family and friends for and afternoon of fun and fellowship. More information here.

Monday, September 11 – 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm at First Unitarian Church, 809 S 4th St, 40203 – Kentuckians for the Commonwealth is joined by Chris Harmer, with Alliance to Reclaim our School, an emerging coalition focused on educational equity. The meeting will spend most of the time discussing recent threats to immigrant communities and what KFTC as a chapter can to do to stand in solidarity with immigrants and refugees in this moment. Information here.

Friday, September 15 – 4:00 pm to 10:00 pm at 735 Lampton St, 40203 – Smoketown GetDown for Democracy hosted by Kentuckians for the Commonwealth and Kertis Creative. It is a FREE block party powered by the people and open to the public with live entertainment, local food, and beer. Information here.

Wednesday, September 27 – 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm at Louisville Democratic Party Headquarters, 1501 Durrett Lane, 40213 – Jefferson County Democratic Party Executive Committee will hold its monthly meeting. Any Democrat may come observe.

Saturday, October 7 – 5:30 pm – 10:00 pm at Crowne Plaza Louisville Airport Expo Ctr, 830 Phillips Lane, 40209 – Louisville Democratic Party will host the 25th Annual Wendell Ford Dinner. Named in honor of Kentucky’s longtime Senator Wendell Ford, this event embodies the spirit of doing right by our neighbors and the people of the commonwealth to make our city a better place to live, work, and raise a family. This is a fundraiser for our local Democratic Party to help ensure we can run aggressive campaigns in 2018. Buy tickets here.
